Rev. Dale Wyrick is from Bastian, VA. He graduated from Rocky Gap High School and has degrees from Wytheville Community College (A.S.) in Wytheville, Virginia, and Tennessee Wesleyan College (B.S.) in Athens, Tennessee, and Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M. Div.) in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his license to preach from Duke Divinity School in 1977.

Rev. Wyrick began preaching when he was 21 and has been in the Ministry for 32 years serving churches of the Holston Conference from Cleveland, Tennessee to Pearisburg, Virginia. He has served circuit’s churches in rural settings, stationed churches in small towns and the inner city.

He is commissioned as a “Herald” for the World Methodist Evangelism / World Methodist Council in Nashville, Tennessee to lead the new Evangelism ministry “Cornerstone Celebration.” He has lead Camp Meetings, Revivals, Renewal Events, Key Events, and New Life Missions. He is also a trained leader to teach Disciple Bible Study and Faith Sharing.

Rev. Wyrick also serves Reed’s Chapel located at 214 Hilleary Street -an African American congregation. Sunday School is at 10:00 and Worship at 9:45 on the Third Sunday.

He has served in different leadership positions of Holston Conferences: District Youth Coordinator, Conference Mission Coordinator and Disaster Coordinator, Minister in Residence of Camping Ministry, Camp Lookout Board of Directors. Rev. Wyrick is the president of the Cleveland District Ministers and he serves on the Conference and District Boards of Ordained Ministry.

Rev. Wyrick hobbies are tennis, golf and photography.

Rev. Wyrick has a passion for worship, enjoys praise and worship music, evangelism and connecting with people.
