TLC Stands for Theresa Lisa Crafters, previously known as the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The name was changed in loving memory of Theresa Lisa, who started this ministry in 2009, when she had a vision of making prayer shawls and giving them to those in need of comfort to remind them that they are loved and that their names are being raised to God in prayer. This ministry has since expanded to include knitted and crocheted prayer shawls, shawl pins, and hats for cancer patients, and they are always looking to expand into other areas and different crafts. Shawls are blessed and given to those in need, as well as for celebrations like weddings, baptisms, and graduations. All of the items are made with Tender Loving Care and distributed for the glory of God.
TLC meets in the library September through May, 1st and 3rd Mondays at 10 AM and 2nd and 4th Mondays at 6:30 PM; June through August, Mondays at 10 AM. This group welcomes all ages and skill levels – you don’t have to know what you’re doing, just come and enjoy the fellowship and learn a new craft and be a blessing to others!
