United Methodist Women is the official women’s organization of The United Methodist Church. Our membership is open to all women of our church and community. We believe in the purpose of the United Methodist Women and provide a supportive fellowship where women can grow spiritually and engage in missions. Our vision is to turn Faith, Hope and Love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world.
The United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
We meet on the first Tuesday of the month. Our meetings are held in the fellowship hall at the church and start at 6:00p.m.
Our Book Club
The reading program is a study opportunity leading us to action. Our Club meets on the third Tuesday of the month. Our meetings are held in the Library at the church and starts at 6:30p.m.
Our local projects include: Angel Fund, Blazing Hope Ranch, Christmas for Children, Our Daily Bread, Morgan-Scott Christmas, Reed’s Chapel, and our SCUMC children and youth. Our Global projects include: Free the Girls, a Penny and a Prayer, Call to Prayer and Self Denial, Legacy Fund, Mexico Medical Mission, UMCOR, World Communion, and World Thank Offering.
We encourage all women to join us each month as we grow spiritually and engage in our mission projects. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact one of our officers. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
