God is a spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Worship– Worship is a main focus in the life of the members at Spring City United Methodist Church. Being a part of this faith community, we strive to hold the worship of God as a priority. Our regular Sunday service of worship begins at 11:00 A.M. unless otherwise noted for a special occasion. Communion in the United Methodist Church is an open table, which means that all who love Christ, earnestly repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another are invited to partake. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month, as well as on special occasions. For the comfort of your children, we offer an infant and toddler nursery. Should you wish to utilize, it is located next to the fellowship hall in the main building for all worship services. For those unable to attend worship, services are available to watch on the Internet through the Livestream service, live and available for 30 days. Click the Livestream tab above to sign up or sign in.
Children’s Worship Experience– During the morning worship service there is a chance for the children to come to the front to hear the morning message tailored to them. This is followed by Children’s Church for children from Pre-K to 3rd grade, which meets upstairs in a Sunday School room.
Special Services– Throughout the year, various special services are held that celebrate events in the Christian year, such as Ash Wednesday or Christmas Eve Communion. A sunrise Easter Sunday service is also held at Veteran’s Park in Spring City followed by breakfast in our Family Life Center. These services are open to the entire community and will be advertised in the bulletin, church newsletter, local newspaper, SCUMC Facebook page, and on this website. More information may be obtained by calling the church office at 423-365-6324.
Fifth Sunday Sing– On Fifth Sundays, the community is invited to SCUMC to come and enjoy musical selections from In One Accord, Spring City’s gospel quartet, King’s Trio, contemporary worship songs, instrumental solos, and vocal selections. It is always an evening of musical variety. If you would like to share your gifts and talents, please contact the church office at 423-365-6324 and the organizers of the event will contact you. If you would like to come and be blessed by a fine time of musical variety to praise our God and King, see you at 6 pm on any Fifth Sunday!
